DEHS or NaCl aerosol is diluted, mixed, and neutralized before passing through the media. Upstream and downstream concentrations are measured to compute filtration efficiency and resistance across multiple particle sizes.
Multi-size efficiency testing is supported (size ranges vary by model). On the 1406DU-Pro, MPPS is determined from the 0.1–0.3 μm multi-size efficiency results (exclusive to 1406DU-Pro).
